MC Mong and his label Fanton Entertainment are on guard for a disaster that may strike!
MC Mong (Shin Dong Hyun, 29), who will be releasing his 4th album next month and fearing its leak, and Fantom Entertainment are implementing airtight security on the album. The recorded songs are hidden and even the label’s bosses cannot listen to them.
The management and MC Mong are very concerned now because they already experienced an album leak in 2006. A day before MC Mong’s 3rd album’s release, the album was leaked in a P2P site and portal site. Eight Netizens were accused of illegally distributing the album but accusations were later withdrawn when the they were made to do a written agreement, stating that they will not be doing such action in the future.
This time, the management deemed it fit that it does preventive measures to preempt any attempts to leak the album.
“In order to not put all the work to waste, we’re working hard to stop any attempts to leak the album,” a Fantom Entertainment official said.
“A singer and his staff work hard in order to produce an album and to see all the effort go to waste because of illegal music sharing is painful,” MC Mong said.
Meanwhile, 90% of the album is already complete and on April 1-2, the music video for the album’s title track will be filmed.
